Volunteering at the Ktosiowo Sanctuary
chores and upkeep
There is never a shortage of work here! We need help cleaning paddocks and enclosures, with small repairs, mending fences and feeders, painting and so on.
All you need is enthusiasm and a bit of courage — we will find a task that fits you and what you can do.
caring for animals
We are always happy to share the nicest part of the job – being with the animals. Our carers will show you who to feed, with what and how much, and how to groom our residents. Everyone deserves not only basic care but the occasional spa day too!
Many animals also need socialising, which means simply spending time with them so they learn that there are people they can trust.
photography and video
To survive we need to promote ourselves online, and to do that well we need fresh photos and videos. We welcome help from experienced and hobbyist creators alike.
helping at events
From time to time we need help at events held at our sanctuary. Tasks on those days include keeping order, staffing information points for visitors, stamping cards for completed outdoor activities and the like.
Online volunteering
office work
Running a foundation means lots of spreadsheets, fundraising e-mails, paperwork and many other tasks at the computer.
creative work
Education is part of our foundation’s work – which means preparing lots of informational and educational materials. Do you like writing? Are you a designer or an IT person? Or maybe you want to develop your passion for the good of animals? Go ahead – write to us and we will talk about how you can help. We are open to your ideas.

Activism
supporting our campaigns
Our foundation regularly runs educational campaigns on nature conservation and animal rights. When a new campaign starts, we need people to hand out leaflets, put up posters and talk to the local community.
helping with collections
Every now and then we head out with collection tins! You can help by organising local collections at your school, workplace or in your neighbourhood.

When does volunteering start and how long does it last?
We are looking for long-term volunteers, volunteers for individual campaigns and volunteers for a fixed period. We are flexible – we will fit in with the time you have. You will arrange everything with our coordinator.
We mostly welcome volunteers at the Sanctuary at weekends, on public holidays and on other days off work. Of course, your time will be split between work and some time to relax.
If you are a student interested in long-term volunteering – that is possible too!
Volunteering certificate
Every volunteer can receive a certificate of the work they did for the Ktoś, nie coś Foundation.
Our certificates are recognised in admissions to Polish secondary schools under § 7 of the Regulation of the Minister of National Education of 16 March 2017 on admissions to public preschools, schools and institutions (Journal of Laws 2017, item 610).

The Ktosiowo Sanctuary in Musuły is less than an hour’s drive from Warsaw. We promise you will have a good time with us, meet wonderful people and maybe learn something new. Becoming part of the Ktosiowo family will recharge your batteries.
Our Sanctuary is a beautiful place – you will have an adventure with horses and meet our gang of goats. Don’t worry if you have never had the chance to get to know these animals – we will show you how to make friends with them, how to understand them and how to behave around them. There is really nothing to be afraid of!
We already know that LOVING IS WORTH IT and HELPING IS WORTH IT. You are warmly invited to volunteer with us!
