Roman

Roman crossed the rainbow bridge after a sudden decline in his health. He joined his beloved wife Roma on 24 May 2026.
When Roman came to us, he was a frightened, skinny little kid.
Over time he grew up, learned to trust the other goats and formed a beautiful bond with Roma. They lived together for three wonderful years in Romanów, after which he had to say goodbye to his companion, who crossed the rainbow bridge. He is now learning to live on his own.
During his three years at the shelter, Roman also opened up a lot to people. He appreciates strokes and cuddles – especially on his cheeks and chin. He isn't keen on being stroked on his back – perhaps a remnant of his difficult past? He doesn't like sudden movements or pushiness; when he wants contact, he comes up close and offers his not-quite-healthy leg to be massaged.
He is an introvert with a difficult past, but with every year he opens his heart a little more to other beings and is discovering that he can experience kindness and love from people.
