Ktosiowo Sanctuary
The Ktosiowo Sanctuary is a home for animals in need. We mostly care for horses and ponies, but we also look after cows, goats, sheep, llamas, pigs, dogs, cats and wild animals: raccoons, foxes and raccoon dogs.
More than 100 animals live at the sanctuary today. Most of them were saved from death, abandonment or mistreatment. They often come to us in a dramatic state – sick, malnourished and frequently after traumatic experiences. We give them medical treatment, rehabilitation and a safe home for the rest of their lives. In our care they regain their health, their trust in people and their peace.
Our Sanctuary is also a place of education and volunteering.
We teach empathy towards animals, help people understand their needs and show how to treat them properly. We also organise employee volunteering, getting people involved in working for animals.
We have an education room for lectures and a huge hall for workshops.
