Last Saturday, Łukówiec Jeruzal turned into a real hub of energy, empathy and commitment to abandoned, sick and neglected animals.
As many as 90 runners lined up at the start of the 1st “Ktoś pobiegnie” (Somebody Will Run) Charity Run — and every one of them finished!
An even bigger round of applause goes to our youngest runner – two-year-old Adaś bravely completed the 100 m course with his dad, and among the 5.6 km runners was a 71-year-old woman who showed that age is just a number!
This wonderful event was about showing our solidarity with animals and our opposition to their mistreatment. We are here to
say it loud: “We love you and we want you to be treated well!”
Honouring the winners on a podium made of hay bales was something special! Unfortunately, one of the champions insisted on treating himself to a somersault – luckily he landed safely on the soft hay! All proceeds from the run go to helping animals, which makes the event even more special.
It was also the last run at this venue, but don’t worry – soon we will invite you to the 2nd Charity Run in a brand-new setting, in Musuły (Żabia Wola municipality, 96-321). Special thanks go to our co-organiser, Ale Czas. Although it is a little sad to say goodbye, we are happily planning our second run already and hope our friends from Łukówiec will join us again!
