Bueno

He is really where it all began.
Bueno is a horse who escaped death at the slaughterhouse at the very last minute. He had already been prepared for slaughter — the hair of his tail and mane had been carelessly cut off, and he was waiting behind a gate from which hardly anyone ever comes back. He was pulled out literally at the last moment. To people he had become “worthless”. The loss of one eye sealed his fate. Bueno is the only horse like him in our sanctuary. What makes him special is not just the luck he has had, but above all his extraordinary sensitivity and intelligence. He is a horse who loves people with his whole being. So much so that if he were only a little smaller, he would happily sit on your lap.
Nature painted a heart on his nose. As if it wanted to say that this horse needs someone special — someone who will see his beauty and charm and forgive his clumsiness - he may tread on your foot, and he can also squeeze through any fence.
Bueno doesn’t need to see you to sense that you’re there. But he will certainly smell you — especially if you come within reach of his nose. There is something absolutely extraordinary about him: an unfailing talent for making people laugh. And when he starts begging for treats… well — you have to see it with your own eyes. He has perfected waggling his nose and knows exactly how to melt anyone’s heart.
