Gardenia (Genia)

Gardenia – also called Genia – is one of the most curious goats in the herd.

She has intriguing colouring, because halfway along her body she changes colour from ashy brown to white. You could definitely say that, as a female, she refuses to accept socially imposed norms and canons of beauty, because she has the longest leg hair of all the goats in the herd! She wears it with dignity and pride.

She always happily comes up to a person who kneels down and waits for her to approach. Then she sniffs their hands extremely thoroughly and nibbles their fingers – very gently and tenderly; she isn’t so much looking for food as saying hello. She likes being stroked, especially under the chin. If you keep it up for a while, she blissfully half-closes her eyes with pleasure.

Together with Bazylka she loves climbing on the special goat playgrounds set up in their area.
