Maja

Maja is our senior cat, whose favourite pastime is taking naps in warm places.

She loves comfy sofas and a hot stove, next to which she can warm herself for hours on end. She has huge amber eyes and a piercing gaze, which can make her seem a little intimidating when you first meet her. But once you get to know her, it turns out that she really likes people and has a gentle temperament. She loves being stroked softly, in a particular soothing way, so that she can start to doze off while being petted.

Maja has her favourite people at the shelter, and she never lets them off without a helping of affection.

A few years ago, when she was younger, she loved sitting in the highest places she could find. Now, however, she has left her years of wild antics and climbing behind her and is enjoying the wonderful peace and quiet she has definitely earned.
