Dzidzia

Dzidzia is not tiny, even though his name (Polish for 'baby') suggests he is. Quite the opposite – he is already 6 months old, he gets bigger and bolder by the day, and as an adult horse he will weigh around a tonne.
This cold-blooded foal came to Ktosiowo in spring 2025, when he was little more than a day old. Tiny and shy back then, he went through a great deal – he wore casts because of contracted tendons in his legs and had surgery at a clinic for a patent urachus. Surrounded by the loving care of the aunties and uncles who watched over him day and night, he grew into a sweet and cheeky little rascal.
He recently formed a herd with two adult horses – Maksimus and Cygan. The boys are teaching him how to be a horse, and Dzidzia sees them as his protectors, someone to shelter behind, for example from the rain.
Raised by people, Dzidzia is a sweet troublemaker with long eyelashes who will do anything for milk from a bottle. But don't let that sweet little face fool you – like many horses raised by humans, Dzidzia doesn't always know where the limits of good manners are and doesn't always know how to behave around people, sometimes trying to impose his will on his carers by attempting to bite and rearing up.
